OUR PROGRAMS

We offer different academic programs that cater to each individual student's learning level and style. The primary programs we use are the A Beka, ABLLS and VB-MAPPS. We also offer a supplemental program known as "Visualizing & Verbalizing". To learn more about each academic program, please view each tab under "Our Programs".

A Beka Curriculum

The A Beka curriculum is a strenuous Christian curriculum that incorporates every aspect of a public school curriculum, but with a Christian Biblical basis. The program sets the foundation of academic excellence and Christian character training, and also reflects the very best in traditional education, comprehensive curriculum, and eternal truths. You can find more information about this curriculum at ABEKA

ABLLS

ABLLS (Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills) was created by Dr. James W. Partington, Ph.D., BCBA-D, as an assessment tool, curriculum guide, and skills-tracking system used to help guide the instruction of language and critical learner skills for children with autism or other developmental disabilities. This practical and parent-friendly tool can be used to facilitate the identification of skills needed by your child to effectively communicate and learn from everyday experiences. The ABLLS program provides a comprehensive review of 544 skills from 25 skill areas including language, social interaction, self-help, academic and motor skills that most typically developing children acquire prior to entering kindergarten. The task items within each skill area are arranged from simpler to more complex tasks. Expressive language skills are assessed based upon the behavioral analysis of language as presented by Dr. B.F. Skinner in his book, Verbal Behavior (1957). You can learn more about the ABLLS program by visiting  ABLLS

VB-MAPP's

VB-Mapps (The Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program) was created by Mark Sundberg as a criterion-referenced assessment tool, curriculum guide, and skill tracking system that is designed for children with autism and other individuals who demonstrate language delays. The VB-MAPP is based on B.F. Skinner’s (1957) analysis of verbal behavior, established developmental milestones, and research from the field of behavior analysis. The VB-MAPP represents a new generation of verbal behavior assessment in an on-going effort to improve the lives of individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
